PUNCHGUT/ TENEBRINI

This was Punchgut and DWITT on the image then Tenebrini on type and layout.
Tenebrini loved this poster so much at one time he almost married it. He had to put Turman in a headlock and wrestle his hand away from the mouse in order to include the twitchy double left eye.
Hot chicks in snow amid urban decay. This Tenebrini/Turman collab is featured in The Art OF Modern Rock Mini #2 / Poster Girls
Emory Douglas inspired Tenebrini/ Tobin colab. A small edition of 6 were printed on wood in addition to the regular paper edition.
DWITT and Turman dreamed up the image. Turman had a much different concept to start with but DWITT wasn’t feelin’ it so they switched gears. The concept is meant to mimic the way that the bros. kind of slither around the stage and have a screaming/in your face sound and presence to them. When Tenebrini got hold of it he was inspired to really push himself in the realm of printing/production. So he chatted with Turman and had him do some additional layers in black and white. Then Tenebrini colored and printed it.
This DWITT / Punchgut collab made Tenebrini mentally unfold during the pre-printing process. The deadly combination of tiny halftone dots and a ghetto exposure system caused many problems. After multiple failed screen burning attempts, the final successful burn was achieved at 5a.m. the day the prints were due.
