We talked about how to approach this without doing some sort of portrait. Something that embodies the truck drivin’ man, mondern-day cowboy but with a road-weary wisdom and without showing any actual people. Dave nailed the illo.

DWITT and Turman dreamed up the image. Turman had a much different concept to start with but DWITT wasn’t feelin’ it so they switched gears. The concept is meant to mimic the way that the bros. kind of slither around the stage and have a screaming/in your face sound and presence to them. When Tenebrini got hold of it he was inspired to really push himself in the realm of printing/production. So he chatted with Turman and had him do some additional layers in black and white. Then Tenebrini colored and printed it.

Har Mar Superstar / Dixie’s / 05.05.05

This DWITT / Punchgut collab made Tenebrini mentally unfold during the pre-printing process. The deadly combination of tiny halftone dots and a ghetto exposure system caused many problems. After multiple failed screen burning attempts, the final successful burn was achieved at 5a.m. the day the prints were due.

The lighter “yellow” is metallic gold. The first printing of these had even more negative space at the top but the paper sucked ass so only 20 were printed on the shitty paper, used as promos for the venue and then reprinted slightly smaller.

Can’t remember who did what when but this was a 3 way collab between DWITT, Erickson and Turman. There’s a touch of metallic in the blue. Lovely.

This collab between DWITT and Tenebrini turned out pretty sweet with a split fountain from blue to clear in the back ground.

Optical Hot Dish / Creative Electric Gallery / 02.25.05

For our first gallery show we did 2 teams and 2 posters. We had Turman and DWITT to pencil drawings of a pin-up style angel and a Devil then they exchanged and inked each others drawings. Next Tenebrini colored the devil chick and Tobin colored the angel chick. We had a printing party at Lon Unitus’ space and all printed it together. HOORAY!

Tenebrini experimented with paper towel wads and block-out fluid to make the fire in the background of this collab with DWITT. This show kicked ass. Printed on Chocolate Brown paper there is a small varient edition on some ivory colored paper.
